Wasteland 2

It was a dream

After my team got back to the camp, we discovered that the medics of the camp had disappeared. That was a big disappointment for me and my team. Especially since my head and right leg hurt. Kaarkas hit me with his tail to try dull the pain from my head before we sat down with Alric to discovered more about Luzzil…it sort of worked…but my head still hurt.

when we sat down with Alric, he attracted some wires to Luzzil before he began to speak about what he was. Luzzil was a combination of a human and Nockmarr. And there were more of his kind out in the Wasteland. He talked a little bit more about what he was made to do and made a deal with Alric to recieve a body, for Tilrec to be able to prob and study him.

Later that night there was a party for our and the other two groups success on their mission. I didn’t feel like drinking. With enemies and possibly more missions ahead i felt it was better to train to make my self ready for the next mission. Kaarkas came out of the shadow wondering what I was doing training instead of drinking. I told him i wanted to be ready because we would never know when we were going to be attacked. He decided to show me how to fight a Nockmarr. During the demonstration my drunk team mates decided to come out of the tent and see what I was up to.

During the training Kaarkas was shot in the side of the head. He lost half of his vision but he was still alive. Everyone scrambled to grab weapons. most of the group went deeper into the town to get the civilians to safety, while jonas, Old heart, and I ran towards a human group that was coming towards us.

We successfully stopped the human army. but a group of no see ships came from the west side of the camp looking for Tilrec because he had technology he wasn’t suppose to have.

Apperently this was all a lie. everyone but X and our groups sniper were the only two people who were not put into tubes that gave us a false dream of the attack. it seemed we were going to be turned into what Luzzil it… a brain in a box, that controlled Nockmarr ships.

Scavaging the ship.

Vass POV
I was given a mission to recover a very important item from a recent crash sight. three other people volunteer to join me on the search. Metis, x, and Alex formed my team.

It took up most of two days to get to the ship. on the way we had to stay in a small shed for the first night. it really wasn’t’ much since it was filled with some sand and two very smelly corpses. i couldn’t tell how long they were dead, but they didn’t carry much that was much use to us.

when we got to the ship it was mostly intact. I looked into a small opening that was tall enough for me to look through. what i saw…i will never forget. I saw Nockmaars….or what was left of them. they laid scattered, thrown around like a little child’s doll. all of them had metal parts on them. it seemed the nockmaars of section 32 were trying to create a new super soldier….a …cyborg soldier…i don’t known how i know that meaning, but somewhere in the back of my head..it just comes naturally. I tried to use my katar gloves to open the hole. I only got it open by a little. We continued around the ship until we found a opening big enough for us to get through. At that time Metis used his chemistry set to create a small blue liquid that gave off a faint glow. at first the rest of us were worried that metis would do something stupid. we were wrong……that time….as we ventured deeper into the ship, it felt like we were being watched. alex, noticed a thin line in the wall that did not belong there. apparently she and i were the strongest of the the team and pulled open a set of sliding doors to reveal a inner chamber. the floor was covered with shattered glass and dead cyborg nockmaars. we entered the room to investigate and see if the corpses were what we needed to bring back to Tilrec.

The doors closed behind us and in front of us appeared a very tall cyborg nockmaar. he held to plasma pistols. the women and i shot a few shots before metis…..this time he did a really stupid thing… charged into the nockmaar and attempted hand to hand combat….worst idea ever. he nearly got killed. we all learned from that day never get closer than a nockmaar’s out stretched tail to fight them. i tried my best to save metis. it cost me a plasma shot or two to my body before metal tentacles came out of the ceiling and pulled the nockmaar apart and disappeared back into the ceiling. suddenly a voice appeared around us. we could not see where it was coming from, but we made a deal with it to take it back to see Tilrec.

Luzzil which i learned to be the A.I.‘s name…still trying to figure out what and a.i. is… lead us to where he or it was being stored at, carfully we pulled him out of the wall. he looked like a metal box. it was smooth on all sides but oneside had a button. i didn’t know what the button did so i pressed it to find out what it would do….that was a bad mistake … the ships self destruct started up. after luzzil showed us where some healing items were, we ran faster than a weeper trying to kiss a hunter. at one point the ship had collapsed on everyone but x, he helped us out of the debris and we continued almost getting lost if it weren’t for metis’ blue liquid light he placed on some of the walls. surprising enough we came to the hole i was trying to make earlier. one by one we quickly escaped the crumbling ship, when it exploded shrapnel rained down on us. i was not so lucky. I think i broke my shin because it hurt to walk on it. we quickly tried to get back to the shed before night fall so we wouldn’t attracted any weepers or the krocklavas (sp?). we bearly made it in time for nightfall. i learned that alex hurt her head, x wasn’t injured at all..lucky him.., while metis suffered the worst…thats what you get for fighting a nockmaar up close.

the next day we left the shed and travel for most of the day until we came back upon a few trees..at least thats what i think it was called. they provided so shade for us. we rested for an hour and collected some of the big green things and some nice smelling things from these trees. we were hoping that we cound trade these things for weapons and armor. be arrived back at sunset and are currently waiting to talk to Karrkas about what we did and find. if i get a chance, i would like to learn how to fight a nockmaar..or at least how to really fight one out of their reach…maybe if karrkas is in a good mood i will ask him.

The Story Thus Far
Updated until we are eaten or otherwise...

Our misadventures begin with a fellowship of mixed species forged under the patron of Altfelter Industries, Grezentheys Leon. Extremely diverse and carefully selected for their abilities and talents, the group consisted of Polumetis and Kinsley, the humans; Hyve, the Gnosi special agent disguised as a Nockmaar; and their team leader, a Wasteland Nockmaar by the name of Xaeon. Together, they would be the first team deployed by Altfelter to reach the recently discovered Dark Continent and set up a base of operations. The group would acquire another addition before the night had ended when, after losing confrontation with the legendary Sais Nuraxe, a mutant of the M.E.E. by the name of Dark Heart was given the choice between joining their mission or death. Thus begins our tale as our heroes departed onto the unforgiving deserts of the Wasteland.

As the company set out on their journey, it wasn’t long before they encountered the rest of Dark Heart’s legion, bent on wiping out Altfelter and the town of Sweet Water with it. Difficult decisions were made and group decided to part ways in order to avoid the brunt of their forces. As Xaeon and Hyve set off on their own, Dark Heart and Metis entered the mutant encampment, disguised as a soldier returning with a trophy of war. The two were led to the mutant elders who deemed the human fit for consumption. Making a necessary sacrifice, Dark Heart removed Metis’s toe and poisoned it before offering the delicacy to the elders. As a mutant elder discovered bowel movements he didn’t know he was capable of, the two used this distraction and made their escape.

Meanwhile, Xaeon and Hyve were faring much worse. The two had fallen down a sand trap into an underground facility. The structure, once a school, was home to variety of monstrosities including one very angry, (or hungry depending on your interpretation), construct. Unfortunately for this fledgling team, their team leader found his untimely demise when the construct pulled Xaeon down into the depths below. Hyve continued onward, dodging what appeared to be small rat-like creatures as she made her way through the facility only to arrive at a dead end. It was here that she was contacted by a strange, faceless entity. With Hyve’s aid, the entity was able to possess the body of a dormant construct and help her escape the underground labyrinth by carrying her out in it’s jaws.

Meanwhile, Dark Heart and Metis arrived at a nameless town where they were greeted by the town’s marshal and a mysterious woman. When asked for introductions, Metis, forgetting Leon’s warning that not everyone was friendly to Altfelter’s cause, introduced themselves as agents of Altfelter. The sheriff arrested the two and Dark Heart, enraged by Metis’s loose tongue, punched him in the jaw, knocking him out cold in the his jail cell. However, the two were in for a rude awakening…

Tremors rippled underneath the quiet, dreary town and it’s citizens looked up in fright as scavenging birds flocked in the distance. A unearthly howl signaled the arrival of a Walker, a construct so large it’s mass could cover a small city. Although the citizens panicked and hastily began to pack their things or arm themselves for combat, Altfelter’s forces converged upon the city to assist in driving off the beast. The mysterious woman, revealing herself as Elaina Temblar, captain of the special forces group known as Leon’s Feathers, freed Metis and Dark Heart. Outside they met an eccentric, enigmatic man claiming to be Leon’s apprentice. Flank as he called himself, had come armed with knowledge of the whereabouts of weapon that might give them the edge in battle: a tank. Dark Heart volunteered to assist Flank as Metis agreed to stay behind to help the town prepare. Hyve arrived shortly after the two left.

As Flank and Dark Heart descended into what can only be described as an industrial factory complex, there they encountered many dangerous creatures and ancient technology beyond understanding. Although they were unable to locate “the tank” weapon, they did encounter a strange man by the name of Kinsley. Despite his apparent madness, the group agreed to allow him to accompany them to the surface to report their findings.

(In need of DM and Co-DM Review/Edit)
We are currently being faced with, what we are lead to believe, to be the first Construct ever, Herman(Duhn-duhn-Duhn) that was created by A Tilreck (That dick made me crazy-er) While we were all scrambling about like a bunch of idiots, one amongst our numbers has managed to stumble across a puzzle which once solved it revealed to Hyve the body of a deceased Tilreck with various phials of mystery liquids.
(Please do update and add more details about this whenever you are all not busy being attacked by various horrible and terribly unmentionable things while my voices and I cower in the corner.)

After Herman was turn off and someone found a cave out. As we went we found dead bodies of humans that had crystalline skulls which some of us looted. We eventually made it to a cavern with light that seemed to come from nowhere, blue grass, and a statue that said, “Here lies Herman, who once slew the NGMO.” While we tried to figure out what to do next we heard people coming, after hiding ourselves we listened to them chatting. One killed the other, told us to come out. He had apparently been sent by Herman’s son Ulric to get us. He introduced himself as Jonas, and when asked how he could be trusted he challenged three of us and beat them without breaking a sweat. Following him (out of trust or fear) we made our way to a dead city filled with Weepers and Hunters, Jonas took the injured he had fought and the rest of us took a different ‘path’. After the groups were saved they eventually made it to a guard base that kept the creatures in the city. We met Ulric(Who is sick and somehow alive), his Right Hand Man, a Nockmaar, Kaakus(spelling?) who had saved one of the groups, and The Woman who had saved the other group. After a brief rest we met the real Tilrec( he needed no proof as he is a Weeper… kind of… it’s wierd).
