Wasteland 2

The Story Thus Far
Updated until we are eaten or otherwise...

Our misadventures begin with a fellowship of mixed species forged under the patron of Altfelter Industries, Grezentheys Leon. Extremely diverse and carefully selected for their abilities and talents, the group consisted of Polumetis and Kinsley, the humans; Hyve, the Gnosi special agent disguised as a Nockmaar; and their team leader, a Wasteland Nockmaar by the name of Xaeon. Together, they would be the first team deployed by Altfelter to reach the recently discovered Dark Continent and set up a base of operations. The group would acquire another addition before the night had ended when, after losing confrontation with the legendary Sais Nuraxe, a mutant of the M.E.E. by the name of Dark Heart was given the choice between joining their mission or death. Thus begins our tale as our heroes departed onto the unforgiving deserts of the Wasteland.

As the company set out on their journey, it wasn’t long before they encountered the rest of Dark Heart’s legion, bent on wiping out Altfelter and the town of Sweet Water with it. Difficult decisions were made and group decided to part ways in order to avoid the brunt of their forces. As Xaeon and Hyve set off on their own, Dark Heart and Metis entered the mutant encampment, disguised as a soldier returning with a trophy of war. The two were led to the mutant elders who deemed the human fit for consumption. Making a necessary sacrifice, Dark Heart removed Metis’s toe and poisoned it before offering the delicacy to the elders. As a mutant elder discovered bowel movements he didn’t know he was capable of, the two used this distraction and made their escape.

Meanwhile, Xaeon and Hyve were faring much worse. The two had fallen down a sand trap into an underground facility. The structure, once a school, was home to variety of monstrosities including one very angry, (or hungry depending on your interpretation), construct. Unfortunately for this fledgling team, their team leader found his untimely demise when the construct pulled Xaeon down into the depths below. Hyve continued onward, dodging what appeared to be small rat-like creatures as she made her way through the facility only to arrive at a dead end. It was here that she was contacted by a strange, faceless entity. With Hyve’s aid, the entity was able to possess the body of a dormant construct and help her escape the underground labyrinth by carrying her out in it’s jaws.

Meanwhile, Dark Heart and Metis arrived at a nameless town where they were greeted by the town’s marshal and a mysterious woman. When asked for introductions, Metis, forgetting Leon’s warning that not everyone was friendly to Altfelter’s cause, introduced themselves as agents of Altfelter. The sheriff arrested the two and Dark Heart, enraged by Metis’s loose tongue, punched him in the jaw, knocking him out cold in the his jail cell. However, the two were in for a rude awakening…

Tremors rippled underneath the quiet, dreary town and it’s citizens looked up in fright as scavenging birds flocked in the distance. A unearthly howl signaled the arrival of a Walker, a construct so large it’s mass could cover a small city. Although the citizens panicked and hastily began to pack their things or arm themselves for combat, Altfelter’s forces converged upon the city to assist in driving off the beast. The mysterious woman, revealing herself as Elaina Temblar, captain of the special forces group known as Leon’s Feathers, freed Metis and Dark Heart. Outside they met an eccentric, enigmatic man claiming to be Leon’s apprentice. Flank as he called himself, had come armed with knowledge of the whereabouts of weapon that might give them the edge in battle: a tank. Dark Heart volunteered to assist Flank as Metis agreed to stay behind to help the town prepare. Hyve arrived shortly after the two left.

As Flank and Dark Heart descended into what can only be described as an industrial factory complex, there they encountered many dangerous creatures and ancient technology beyond understanding. Although they were unable to locate “the tank” weapon, they did encounter a strange man by the name of Kinsley. Despite his apparent madness, the group agreed to allow him to accompany them to the surface to report their findings.

(In need of DM and Co-DM Review/Edit)
We are currently being faced with, what we are lead to believe, to be the first Construct ever, Herman(Duhn-duhn-Duhn) that was created by A Tilreck (That dick made me crazy-er) While we were all scrambling about like a bunch of idiots, one amongst our numbers has managed to stumble across a puzzle which once solved it revealed to Hyve the body of a deceased Tilreck with various phials of mystery liquids.
(Please do update and add more details about this whenever you are all not busy being attacked by various horrible and terribly unmentionable things while my voices and I cower in the corner.)

After Herman was turn off and someone found a cave out. As we went we found dead bodies of humans that had crystalline skulls which some of us looted. We eventually made it to a cavern with light that seemed to come from nowhere, blue grass, and a statue that said, “Here lies Herman, who once slew the NGMO.” While we tried to figure out what to do next we heard people coming, after hiding ourselves we listened to them chatting. One killed the other, told us to come out. He had apparently been sent by Herman’s son Ulric to get us. He introduced himself as Jonas, and when asked how he could be trusted he challenged three of us and beat them without breaking a sweat. Following him (out of trust or fear) we made our way to a dead city filled with Weepers and Hunters, Jonas took the injured he had fought and the rest of us took a different ‘path’. After the groups were saved they eventually made it to a guard base that kept the creatures in the city. We met Ulric(Who is sick and somehow alive), his Right Hand Man, a Nockmaar, Kaakus(spelling?) who had saved one of the groups, and The Woman who had saved the other group. After a brief rest we met the real Tilrec( he needed no proof as he is a Weeper… kind of… it’s wierd).
